Accountancy

Our main service is accountancy. We prepare financial statements for all type of trade as and when required. These are normally prepared on an annual basis from the clients records. As well as preparing these financial statements we also discuss with the client any points which may become apparent which could help them in the future to keep the business growing and expanding. We are available all year round to discuss all aspects of your financial affairs which may occur. Remember we are here to help.

Taxation

Following the advent of Self Assessment it is now up to the individual to inform the Revenue whether they consider that they should prepare an income tax return or corporation tax return or face penalties from £100...... You as the individual are now expected to prepare the return fully and submit this to the Revenue before the filing dates or face further penalties...... You are also required to work out how much tax to pay and when to pay it - or yes - face further penalties...... CONFUSED: THIS IS WHY WE ARE HERE TO HELP YOU...... We shall work out whether you should prepare a return, complete it for you, work out the tax due, and then tell you when to pay it. Whether you are employed, self employed, a company or charity we shall prepare full tax computations and write to you in advance to tell you when tax is due and how much you should pay. You can then budget for these amounts and rest easy that your taxation affairs are being dealt with. All tax returns are completed at a reasonable cost.

You should be aware of the duty to inform HMRC when you commence in business within three months of the date of commencement or face possible penalties

Bookkeeping

We appreciate that most of you spend most of the time keeping your business running profitably on a day to day basis, and that the last thing you want to do at the end of the day is to write up your books. We can provide a cost effective bookkeeping service which can be tailored to your needs. Should your trading income in twelve months exceed the registration limit you may have to register for VAT. As well as helping with the registration of your business for VAT, we are available to prepare your quarterly VAT return for you at a reasonable cost. Ask for further details...
